About: This software implements the Dirichlet Forest (DF) Prior within the Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) model. When combined with LDA, the Dirichlet Forest Prior allows the user to encode domain knowledge (must-links and cannot-links between words) into the prior on topic-word multinomials. Changes:Initial Announcement on mloss.org.

About: NetKit is an open-source Network Learning toolkit for statistical relational learning. Its architecture is extremely modular, making it easy to combine different learning algorithms. Changes:Initial Announcement on mloss.org.
|
About: GPUML is a library that provides a C/C++ and MATLAB interface for speeding up the computation of the weighted kernel summation and kernel matrix construction on GPU. These computations occur commonly in several machine learning algorithms like kernel density estimation, kernel regression, kernel PCA, etc. Changes:Initial Announcement on mloss.org.

About: GIDOC (Gimp-based Interactive transcription of old text DOCuments) is a computer-assisted transcription prototype for handwritten text in old documents. It is a first attempt to provide integrated support for interactive-predictive page layout analysis, text line detection and handwritten text transcription. GIDOC is built on top of the well-known GNU Image Manipulation Program (GIMP), and uses standard techniques and tools for handwritten text preprocessing and feature extraction, HMM-based image modelling, and language modelling. Changes:Updated version for mloss 2010

About: PRoNTo is freely available software and aims to facilitate the interaction between the neuroimaging and machine learning communities. The toolbox is based on pattern recognition techniques for the analysis of neuroimaging data. PRoNTo supports the analysis of all image modalities as long as they are NIfTI format files. However, only the following modalites have been tested for version 1.1: sMRI, fMRI, PET, FA (fractional anisotropy) and Beta (GLM coefficients) images. Changes:Initial Announcement on mloss.org.

About: This letter proposes a new multiple linear regression model using regularized correntropy for robust pattern recognition. First, we motivate the use of correntropy to improve the robustness of the classicalmean square error (MSE) criterion that is sensitive to outliers. Then an l1 regularization scheme is imposed on the correntropy to learn robust and sparse representations. Based on the half-quadratic optimization technique, we propose a novel algorithm to solve the nonlinear optimization problem. Second, we develop a new correntropy-based classifier based on the learned regularization scheme for robust object recognition. Extensive experiments over several applications confirm that the correntropy-based l1 regularization can improve recognition accuracy and receiver operator characteristic curves under noise corruption and occlusion. About: The fertilized forests project has the aim to provide an easy to use, easy to extend, yet fast library for decision forests. It summarizes the research in this field and provides a solid platform to extend it. Offering consistent interfaces to C++, Python and Matlab and being available for all major compilers gives the user high flexibility for using the library. Changes:Initial Announcement on mloss.org.
