About: This is a class to calculate histogram of LBP (local binary patterns) from an input image, histograms of LBPTOP (local binary patterns on three orthogonal planes) from an image sequence, histogram of the rotation invariant VLBP (volume local binary patterns) or uniform rotation invariant VLBP from an image sequence. Changes:Initial Announcement on mloss.org.

About: AISAIC software for analyzing human DNA copy numbers and detecting significant copy number alterations Changes:Initial Announcement on mloss.org.

About: Optunity is a library containing various optimizers for hyperparameter tuning. Hyperparameter tuning is a recurrent problem in many machine learning tasks, both supervised and unsupervised. This package provides several distinct approaches to solve such problems including some helpful facilities such as crossvalidation and a plethora of score functions. Changes:Bugfixes related to Python 3. Added smoke tests for all solvers to prevent similar issues in the future.

About: MeanShift (MS) is a powerful nonparametric clustering method. Although good accuracy can be achieved, its computational cost is particularly expensive even on moderate data sets. For the purpose of algorithm speedup, an agglomerative MS clustering method called AggloMS was developed, along with its modeseeking ability and convergence property analysis. The method is built upon an iterative query set compression mechanism which is motivated by the quadratic bounding optimization nature of MS. The whole framework can be efficiently implemented in linear running time complexity. Changes:Initial Announcement on mloss.org.

About: minFunc is a Matlab function for unconstrained optimization of differentiable realvalued multivariate functions using linesearch methods. It uses an interface very similar to the Matlab Optimization Toolbox function fminunc, and can be called as a replacement for this function. On many problems, minFunc requires fewer function evaluations to converge than fminunc (or minimize.m). Further it can optimize problems with a much larger number of variables (fminunc is restricted to several thousand variables), and uses a line search that is robust to several common function pathologies. Changes:Initial Announcement on mloss.org.

About: This package is an implementation of a linear RankSVM solver with nonconvex regularization. Changes:Initial Announcement on mloss.org.

About: A general purpose library to process and predict sequences of elements using echo state networks. Changes:Initial Announcement on mloss.org.

About: CXXNET (spelled as: C plus plus net) is a neural network toolkit build on mshadow(https://github.com/tqchen/mshadow). It is yet another implementation of (convolutional) neural network. It is in C++, with about 1000 lines of network layer implementations, easily configuration via config file, and can get the state of art performance. Changes:Initial Announcement on mloss.org.

About: MetropolisHastings alogrithm is a Markov chain Monte Carlo method for obtaining a sequence of random samples from a probability distribution for which direct sampling is difficult. Thi sequence can be used to approximate the distribution. Changes:Initial Announcement on mloss.org.
